Pilates Instructors
Deb Bowen |
Debby opened Rebound Pilates during the spring of 2008. She was naturally drawn to Pilates in 2003. Being an athlete, she realizes the importance of proper muscular balance and movement. After having her children she studied the Pilates method thru Core Dynamics Pilates certification program led by Michele Larsson and has been teaching since 2005. In 2008, Debby was the first Pilates instructor in Central Oregon to be certified through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and is also licenses to teach the Fletcher Towel Work. Debby's formal education includes a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters in Water Resources.
Debby has and continues to work with people with a wide range of goals from spinal cord injuries to professional athletes, Pilates has been instrumental in guiding people on their journeys of achieving mindful movement, whether it is helping people with chronic lower back pain become pain free or an athlete looking for that extra edge.
"Through Pilates I have discovered an immense understanding and awareness of my own body, which has made me a healthier, happier person. I love seeing the rewards that the Pilates method brings to my clients: pain free, better posture, enhanced athletic performance, leaner stronger bodies with flexible muscles and a body awareness that resides with them thru out their days. My goal is to share my knowledge of the Pilates method with as many people as possible, making positive changes in their lives through mindful movement."

Emily Fridae |
Emily studied Art History and Graphic Design at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. While living in Flagstaff she enjoyed backpacking, rafting, and snowboarding. Her love of the outdoors led her to become a backcountry guide in the Grand Canyon. After marrying and traveling to New Zealand, Emily and her husband moved to Bend to start a family and continue their outdoor activities. In between having two children Emily completed the Pacific Crest half marathon and the Dirty Half Marathon. Emily's goal of a healthy lifestyle and her need to share that with others has led her to become a Pilates instructor.

Chantel Titus |
Chantel has been doing Pilates for about six years. She has been teaching for the past three and is certified through Peak Pilates. She has benefitted greatly from the many aspects of Pilates that are applicable to daily life. She has experienced not only greater body awareness and improved posture, but a stronger body and greater abillity to perform in any athletic capacity. The stabilization and core support provided by a regular Pilates practice is extremely effective in preventing injuries as well as decreasing aches and pains associated with imbalances and compensations throughout the body. Chantel enjoys her personal practice and also loves to teach others so that they, too, may experience the multitude of benefits that come with the tried and true practice of Joseph Pilates.
